Delivery and Lead Times

At Fabric Retailer by Sophie Marie, I aim to make the fabric sourcing and delivery process as smooth and transparent as possible. All fabrics are sourced to order from trusted suppliers, and while I do my best to ensure prompt delivery, some factors are outside of my control.

DELIVERIES 

Once your order is placed and confirmed, your items will be sent directly to you from the supplier. I’ll always do my best to keep you informed and updated, but please note that delivery timelines are approximate and can be affected by supplier delays or courier issues, which are outside of my control.

  • Estimated delivery timeframe: Please allow approximately 7–21 business days, depending on the supplier, product, and location.

  • Delivery area: At this time, delivery is only available within Australia.

  • Delivery method: All items are sent via courier service (not Australia Post). A street address is required, and someone must be available to sign for the delivery. PO Boxes are not accepted.

  • You can request an "Authority to Leave" at checkout if no one will be home.

If your order includes products from multiple suppliers, your items may arrive in separate shipments.


DELIVERY COSTS 

  • Free shipping is available on orders over $200

  • A $20 flat rate (including GST) applies to orders under $200


PRODUCT STOCK & AVAILABILITY 

All fabrics are sourced from external suppliers. Occasionally, a product may be out of stock or discontinued without notice. If this happens, I’ll contact you right away to offer a full refund for that item or help you find a suitable alternative. Other items in your order will still be processed as planned.

Please understand that I cannot be held responsible for delays caused by suppliers, shipping companies, or other external factors (such as public holidays, weather, or customs clearance). I’ll always keep you updated if any issues arise.


ORDERING DETAILS 

To help ensure you order the correct amount of fabric, please ask your upholsterer, curtain maker, or interior decorator for a quantity estimate. They’ll need the fabric width and pattern repeat to calculate the metreage required.

  • Minimum order: 1 metre per fabric

Once you’ve selected your fabric, you’ll be guided through the step-by-step ordering process. Full payment confirms your order and initiates processing.


IMPORTANT NOTES 

  • Please double-check all details before completing your purchase. Because fabrics are cut to order, changes or cancellations cannot be made after payment is received. A restocking fee may apply if changes are requested once your order is underway.

  • If you receive a fabric that is incorrect or damaged, please email me within 24 hours of delivery and include clear photos. I’ll follow up with the supplier to arrange a replacement or refund if needed. Unfortunately, I’m unable to assist with claims made after this timeframe.

  • Once delivered, it is your responsibility to check and store the fabric safely. I recommend inspecting the fabric before cutting or handing it to your upholsterer or workroom.

  • Please note: Once fabric is cut or altered in any way, it is no longer eligible for return or replacement, even if issues are discovered afterward.


PAYMENTS 

All payments are processed securely direct transfer via credit card or direct deposit. You will receive an invoice via email with the payment details after your request. Once full payment is received, your order will be processed immediately.
